Journaling With Intention: Benefits And Tips
Journaling is all the rage at the moment and for good reason! Not only is it a great way for you to make sense of your thoughts and emotions but journaling with intention specifically, is a great tool to help you manifest and rewrite your story.
Here I have listed some tips and benefits of journaling that have helped me…I think they’ll help you too!
1. Energy In Motion
Journaling is a great way to organise some of your thoughts or better yet, to only focus on the one's that bring you peace.
When you do this the you’re able to see the bigger picture a lot clearer and make the ‘what if’s’ much quieter, putting you in a state of tranquillity or excitement for what’s to come, rather than doubt it.
2. Sweet Dreams
Intentional journaling before bed puts you in a happy or hopeful state that can even affect your dreams!
A lot of what we see, think or focus on ends up in the subconscious thoughts that make up our dreams. What better way to literally dream big than to fill you last thoughts of the day with your greatest desires?
When journaling before bed you’ll notice that the feeling of waking up hopeful can set you up for the whole day...try it!
3. Walk That Talk
Journaling is you imprinting on your subconscious mind what you want and need. It also kicks your conscious mind into action, giving you practical ideas on how to make it happen for example, your wanting to manifest a new car. When you write this down you’re not only thinking of the car, you’re also thinking of where you’re going, who you’re with? What you do for a living etc, bringing the whole picture together. Believe it or not this triggers the practical side of our brain to want to bring this into fruition.
You may begin thinking, ‘why don’t I compare prices?’, ‘how much would I need to save each month?’, ‘maybe i’ll book a test drive’…etc. The more you journal the more tangible it becomes thus, giving you more confidence to pursue it - A win win all round.
4. Seeing Is Believing
Writing is a great way of effortlessly visualising exactly what you want with less opposing thoughts.
The more you see, the more you expand on and the more real it feels. Writing in a stream of consciousness can be helpful, but all in all this should be a fun task - don’t overthink it!
Incense, candles and oils are all great items to get you in the zone while you journal. Here are some products to accompany you while you write.
